- Alzheimer's Society
- The Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. It is committed to maintaining, improving and promoting its unique knowledge and understanding of dementia.
- British False Memory Society
- The extent of the phenomenon of false memory (in which a person is convinced a memory is true when it is not) led, in 1993, to the formation of the BFMS. The Society aims to raise awareness of the inherent dangers of false memory, collaborates with professional organisations, and aims to improve the understanding of false memory by encouraging, sponsoring, conducting and publishing academic and professional research.
- Stroke Association
- The Stroke Association is a UK national charity, which is solely concerned with stroke. It provides support for people who have had strokes, their families and carers, and campaigns, educates and informs to increase knowledge of stroke at all levels of society.
- University of Plymouth: Memory Group
- This Group brings together people interested in various aspects of memory and its links with cognition in general, and meets every two weeks to discuss recent publications, projects in process, new data and future projects.

- Alzheimer's Association
- This Association, the world leader in Alzheimer research and support, is a voluntary health organization dedicated to finding preventions, treatments and, eventually, a cure for Alzheimer dementia.
- Alzheimer's Disease Education and Referral Center
- The US Congress created the ADEAR Center in 1990 to "compile, archive, and disseminate information concerning Alzheimer's disease" for health professionals, people with AD and their families, and the public. As a public, US Government-funded resource, the Center strives to be a current, comprehensive, unbiased source of information.
- American Academy of Neurology
- The AAN provides valuable resources for medical specialists worldwide who are committed to improving the care of patients with neurological diseases. The AAN's more than 18,000 members look to the AAN for the most comprehensive professional development, career enhancement, and practice improvement opportunities available.
- American False Memory Syndrome Foundation
- The goals of the FMS Foundation are to seek the reasons for the spread of FMS that is so devastating families, to work for ways to prevent it, and to aid those who were affected by it and to bring their families into reconciliation.
- Brain Injury Association of America
- This Association of was founded in 1980 by a group of individuals who wanted to improve the quality of life for their family members who had sustained brain injuries. It aims to create a better future through brain injury prevention, research, education, and advocacy.
- John Hopkins School of Medicine: Neuropsychiatry and Memory Group
- The Neuropsychiatry service is an internationally known interdisciplinary team of neuropsychiatrists, geriatricians, nurses, occupational therapists, and psychologists providing care to over 800 persons a year with chronic brain conditions (such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, head trauma, mental retardation, and others) who suffer from symptoms such as memory loss, trouble communicating, depression, lack of motivation, agitation, explosive spells, and similar complaints.
- National Stroke Association
- Begun as a small but visionary organization in 1984, the NSA is now breaking ground in stroke treatment by implementing new stroke center guidelines in American hospitals and developing centers of excellence. In the rehabilitation arena, we are forging closer alliances with facilities, support groups, survivors and their families and caregivers to provide best practices, services and advocacy on their behalf.

- This is the umbrella organisation of Alzheimer associations around the world, which offer support and information to people with dementia and their caregivers.
- Society for Applied Research in Memory and Cognition
- SARMAC fosters applied research in memory and cognition and promotes the communication of this research within and between the applied and basic research communities. The society holds a biennial conference.
